Alycia Scannell

Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Alycia is a physiotherapist with over 23 years of experience, specialised interests and training in the fields of women, men and children’s pelvic health. She is an APA Titled Member of the Continence and Women’s Health Group and a Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists (MACP). 

 

Alycia has worked across the SA public health sector at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and then the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in her early career but since 2011, has been working exclusively in the field of pelvic health in Private Practice. In 2014, Alycia also joined the team at South Terrace Urology, providing physiotherapy services to men undergoing radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer and other urological conditions.

In addition to treating common pelvic conditions such as prolapse (including pessary fitting), urgency, incontinence and pelvic pain, Alycia has an interest in paediatric incontinence including bowel dysfunction and bedwetting. 

​

As a mother of three busy boys, Alycia’s spare time is mostly spent on the sporting sidelines but where possible she likes to squeeze in some fitness, dinners with friends and important family catch ups.

Carolyn Berry

Women's, Men's and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist

Carolyn has 20 years of experience in both the public and private practice sectors. She has worked across Flinders Medical Centre and Noarlunga Hospital since 2003 in outpatients and women’s health services. She commenced concurrent work in private practice in 2010. She is a titled Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist.

Carolyn is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), the APA’s Women’s, Men’s and Pelvic Health Group and The Continence Foundation of Australia. She is committed to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with the latest research and most current evidence-based practice. She regularly attends courses and conferences both locally and nationally. Carolyn treats common pelvic conditions such as bladder and bowel dysfunction, prolapse including pessary management, urgency, incontinence and pelvic pain. She also has an interest in working with women during their pregnancy and post-partum recovery.

 

Carolyn has three school aged children including a set of twins. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, being active and outdoors and tending to her plant babies. You’ll find her practicing what she preaches at the gym, often in the early hours of the morning!
